This is the first rental payment which is usually a multiplication of the regular monthly rental. It can be increased or reduced to adjust the monthly payments with barely any change to the total amount payable over the term. It is none refundable as it is part of the overall cost of the lease.
We can supply an optional maintenance package which will vary depending on the package you go for, but will generally include all servicing, routine maintenance and tyres. If you opt for a none maintained lease, you will need to pay for these things to be done yourself.
If you exceed the agreed annual mileage, you will be charged an excess mileage fee for any miles over the agreed total mileage allowance at the end of the term. The amount will vary depending on the agreement but all details will be available at point of quotation.
Please note, for vehicles with driver connectivity systems such as Mercedes Connect Me, Jaguar/Land Rover InControl, Vauxhall OnStar etc., driver data may not be set-up on the vehicle due to restrictions set by certain funders. Please discuss this with your advisor for clarification.
The term relates to the minimum duration of your contract, this is typically 24, 36 or 48 months. Additional charges may apply if you terminate the contract early.
The annual mileage of the contract. This represents the amount of miles you (the driver) intends to travel yearly. If you exceed this mileage then an excess mileage fee will be payable – please see below for more information on this.
For pre-registered vehicles, you will be entitled to the balance of the manufacturer’s warranty and roadside assistance cover. In the event that the warranty expires within the contract hire period, you will be liable for any repairs or breakdown costs, unless a maintenance package is purchased. An MOT may also be required (at customers cost) 3 years from published taxation point, in line with UK law.
An advanced rental of usually equivalent to 3, 6 or 9 monthly rentals payable to finance company within 7 to 14 days of delivery. This amount forms part for the hire agreement and is non-refundable.
The monthly amount to be paid to the finance provider. Personal contract hire agreements include VAT at the current rate20%. Please note that VAT is calculated monthly and so any subsequent increases in this rate would be reflected in the monthly rentals.
The cost per month for maintenance package. If you wish to take a maintenance package as part of your vehicle, please contact your sales consultant for a formal quotation. If ed, the maintenance package includes manufacturer recommended servicing and excludes misuse, accident damage and vehicle glass. Please be aware that without a maintenance package, you will be responsible for all maintenance and servicing costs for the vehicle throughout the duration of your contract in line with the manufacturer’s schedule.
The total cost per month including the finance rental, maintenance and any other optional extras.
Any mileage over the agreed contract is charged at the excess mileage rate. This represents the cost charged in pence per mile. Please ensure you mileage appropriate to you as some funders may not allow you to amend this at a later stage.
All of our vehicles come with road tax for the duration of the contract with the exception of operating leases. Roadside Assistance: The standard roadside assistance cover as offered by the manufacturer.
Please note that whilst we makes every effort to ensure that all "quoted" prices are maintained up until an "order" is confirmed, rentals are subject to change at any time by the funder and we reserve the right to pass on any price changes which may affect the rental originally quoted. In the unlikely event of a change to the rental, we will contact you by email or telephone to confirm if you wish to proceed with your order or to provide you with possible natives. If the native is not acceptable to you, we will cancel your order without penalty and refund any monies paid.
Quoted delivery "lead times" represent our “best estimate” based on information provided by our brand supplier. Whilst we endeavour to ensure that delivery dates are as accurate as possible, delivery dates are subject to change by the manufacturer and on occasion delays do occur due to production issues. We will keep you informed of any known changes to your vehicle’s delivery date to allow you to make any necessary arrangements as a consequence. We have no control or influence over manufacturer lead times and will not accept any responsibility for any losses or inconvenience caused because of a delay from the manufacturer. Please be aware that we do not provide the provision of a hire vehicle in the event that your delivery lead time is put back by the manufacturer. Your vehicle will be delivered in a driven condition to your specified address, provided your address is situated on the UK mainland. Your vehicle will have delivery mileage according to where it is transported from. If this is the case, please be assured that this mileage will not be counted towards the mileage allowance n in your agreement. If you require Vehicle Transported Delivery (the vehicle is delivered on a trailer/transporter) this can be arranged but an additional charge will be made. Please speak to your leasing consultant for further information.
At the end of your agreement, the vehicle must be returned to the finance company and will be inspected for any damage that falls outside what is deemed ‘fair wear and tear’. Missed Payments: If you miss a payment, additional interest and fees may be charged and this may also impact your credit file. Late payments can also result in termination of the contract with all remaining rent.
